Pwrbotr,
The 28 had unbelievable crusing speed!!! Could only spin the prop about 4600 RPM, No top end - couldn't generate the R's. It was a fun test, didn't really expect any magic from a stock 28. A labbed, tweeked 28 might have some surprising results!!!!
I have tested quite a few props on the 280. (Mirage, Turbo, Hydromotive, Bravo) So far nothing has beat the Bravo 1. I still need to test a 26. Haven't found one yet.

Jon280,

I just bought a stock 26 pitch bravo. I had a labbed 26 and it destroyed my midrange. I like the stock 26 much better. I picked up 8 mph in the midrange. I can only turn 4700-4750 rpms though....spoke with Mike Hall from Hall's propeller this weekend when he was here for the poker run. He drove the boat and thinks he can get me back to 5000rpms and keep the midrange the same.

pwrbotr,
I agree - midrange is important. I would rather have a very effective midrange and sacrifice top end at WOT. It seems that the 26 has the best fit for our boats.
