Hello, everyone.
I am ordering a 2004 280 silencer or 260 legend sx. What do I need to do to get the best deal when talking to a sales representative. 280 or 260 with a 496 HO and competition package. How much do you think would be a fair price ?
Please get back to me with some info.
Thanks,
Mattt.

I guess the best thing to do would be to talk to a couple of dealers. I ordered a new 28 last year, list on the boat was $91000 I paid $66,495.. I had a 26 real nice boat but at 50mph and higher the 28 is a much better riding boat.. Good luck they are both nice it is just a matter of how much to spend. Also I bought both of them from J&J sales in Huron,Ohio..

Thanks, snopro13.
Do you have a number of that dealer ? $66,495 for 280 silencer, that is a good deal. In Michigan, a 23.7 is around $60,000. What engine do you have on your 280 ? Would you like to give me the name of the sales person that you deal with ?
Thank you,
Mattt.

matt...best deal I have heard of is about 27% off MSRP for a Powerquest. That pretty much agrees with snopro's number...trick is to find a dealer that will hook you up! This economy is a buyer's market so good luck!
I have a 2001 260SX with the 496 HO Mag and run 65mph(gps) with a Mirage Plus 23" wheel @ 5000 rpm. It's a good boat but I too would like to move up to the 28. If you are interested in a used boat, let me know and I will give you the details.

The best speed I have seen is 66 on gps. I am running a labbed 26 Bravo. I sent the prop back to Halls to change a few things hopefully it will be better. Nitro I ride a POLARIS 800 tripple!!! Time to go to the Islands! Bye.

Matt,
If you have not already made your purchase, then I would highly recommend contacting Randy at Blue Water Bay Yachts in Niceville, Florida. I bought a 2001 280 from him for way under 60 grand with a 502 mag. I found the trick is to wait close to the end of the year to get a good deal.
You can reach them at bluewaterbayyachts.com or call him at 850-897-5968.
Good luck...........
