Thumbs up Powerquest

Just wanted to say a quick hello to all my fellow powerquest owners. Im a new member to offshoreonly but have read all the forums pertaining to powerquest. I sold my 93 enticer in july which I owned for 9yrs and took delivery of my 03 340 vyper. Both boats were the pictured catalog boats. What are the odds of that !!
anyway, looking forward to talking to you all.

Congrats on the 340! I'm sure you'll love it like we do. Post a pic.

Where do you boat? What kind of power and options did you get?

Welcome!
Dave

Welcome and congrats on the new ride. Is your boat the one with the blue paint with a green stripe and a blue fairing? Pretty boat.

Hello all, my 340 is the purple/green and silver with the purple painted windscreen. It has 496mag Ho's, ac/heat
refridge,shorepower,Tv/vcr,battery charger,Latham, etc, etc. I boat on the south shore of Long Island, N.Y. (salt) Spinning 28's w/humidity top speed 78mph at 4750rpms, with no humidity 80mph at
4900rpms. I hope to pick up 200rpm and 2mph with having the props lab finished, changing arrestors and
changing corsa quite exhaust tips.

Same package as yours, adding these were good for 200 rpm/2mph!

Congrats on the new boat! By the way I'm considering a used 29 enticer, how did you like the boat?? Also what type of power did you run in it??

Thanks

Hi PQ, My Enticer had 454magnums and ran a solid 71mph w/mirage 23's I loved the boat although it was a bit undertabed w/ boat levelers. By the way this boat is probably the best maintained used enticer in the country
(no joke) looks runs and shows brand new. I traded it in at Duckeys. I still have all the maintenance and pre-ventitive maintence records in my office. I would love to see this boat get a great home.

BIllR (background in pic) did all those things and put 30P labbed Merc's on and gets 81 in 70 degree low humidity (1/2 tank of gas) and hits the rev limiter. It may hit 82 when it gets a little colder. We all hit 78-80 most conditions but will run a solid 75+ in 3-4' chop and rollers in the Atlantic and lower Chesapeake Bay

From my experience the K&N flame arrrestor does nothing so don't waste your money (or you can buy mine if you really want them). Tips make it sounds a little throatyier but no appreciable speed increase. Remember that the rev limiter is set at 5250 and you can hit that if you trim your boat up enough while maxing speed with stock 28P's. Depending on where PQ dialed in the gauge you can trim all the way to 6 or 7 but you will have to test that out to find the sweet spot.

BTW, the reason that PQ made a boat with the purple and green is because I changed my color selection while my boat was being built. I added green instead of two shades of purple. They had never tried the green with that color combo and were very nervous about how it would turn out. When it was completed they were very impressed and said that they would do it again.

Good luck and welcome to the club!

If you didn't get your dash panels painted by the factory you should consider it. It looks awesome. Here's how mine turned out.
