My buddy just bought a 1999 34ft Powerquest with 500 efi's. The boat doesn't have the props with it. What pitch should he look for?
Thanks,
Mat

I know with HO's the 340 really likes the Bravos as far 4 bladers go. Stock 28's or labbed 30's. With those motors, I would start with stock 30's. Maybe performancemary will chime in. He has that set up in his.
I will be testing some 5 bladers this spring.....very soon I hope!![Big Grin](/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Tell your buddy to call Julie at Throttle Up. They have a great loaner program. And Julie knows the 340 well.

Congrats on the 34, it's a great boat.
On mine I run Bravo 30's, that's how it came from the factory. I have two pair, one labbed one stock. They run pretty much the same, maybe 1.5 MPH faster on top end with the lab set but better mid range with the stockers.
Say Mack , had yours in the water since the show?

I have a set of Hydromotive Q-IV's that I used on my old PQ34.
They are labbed 29's. VERY fast prop. Made the boat ride better to, due to more stern lift. Good prop for that boat. Macklin will confirm.
about 100% perfect
$800 pair.

You luckey dog
We had 34 below in northern Minn last night. The high here was in the mid 20's. Will be a while before I can even think of splash down.

I ran Bravo 28's @ 4950. 78-79
The Hydros ran 5000 - 5050 and got me to 81 (actually to 82 - once)
But the main thing was, the Hydro's lift the transom which levels the boat out more and the ride was really improved.

The stern lift does make the boat ride better. That is why I am looking forward to trying the P-V's that TU has.

Would you be intrested in trading my pair of perfect stock Bravo 1 30' props for your Hydro's. Right now I have the two sets of Bravos and would like to have the option to try something different.
