There's something wrong with Profile in general. Their boats were never known to be quality pieces. Lots of construction issues. Non straight chines were typical. The worst part about them was their customer service, though that has no bearing whatsoever on your purchase of a used one.
I had a buddy who had a 94 29' and after a season on the water it sounded like an open box of tools running down the lake with all the rattles and clanks.

I'm not necessarily bashing Profiles. We had a lot of fun in that boat! It was a good entry level boat that a 24 year old could afford. It just isn't the quality that you'll get from most other builders.

profile bash
i also love my profile ! take it out and bash it every weekend, and no issues at all. every boat builder out there has turned out bad products, at some point someone is going to get a lemon. if you notice on this blog, there is only a few who are always running down profile. unfortunately they are always the first to chime in. they are also the ones on other blogs complaining about there trucks, cars, motorcycles ect. go look at the boats, see for yourself. if they are nice and drive out good and are priced right, use your own judgement

love my profile
i purchased a used 1996 profile 31 foot with twin 450hp engines. Love the boat. Got in cheap, looks good. Cannot afford a Cig or Nortech, maybe someday though. This Profile serves me well. Always fixing something, thats half the fun for me. I am not perfect neither is my boat. Any one heard of my boat, purchased out of Lake Havesue(spelling). Previous name was" more pier pressure". Any good stories or bad ones. Boat located now in Florida with all the salt water
