I am thinking about looking at a 260V profile. I can't seem to find any reviews on them. I see that they are 3600lbs. How do they ride and handle. Is the hulls thin? Flex? How fast are they with the 425 hp 496HO? Any and all info I can get the better. I have to sell my Corvette before I buy one anyway. Thank you

I was looking at a 260V last year and called the designer and builder Randy Shultz this past winter. He was a total gentlemen and more then helpful answering my questions. He sold Profile I believe in the 2003 time frame and assisted the new owners with some of the first builds. I've also heard that some of the mold work in the boats built after he left are not up to par so you may want to inspect the boat and do a sea trial in person before buying. Randy started Liquuid Glass boats. I'm not sure he is still there but here's their contact. 1 563 578 5900, [email protected], 1310 West 1st Street Sumner, IA 50674 USA.
As to the previuos comment about a 3600lb not being good in rough water, utter nonsense and not taking into consideration many factors of a boats total handling characteristics. My Pantera weighs in at 3800lb dry and will run with any beak boat in almost any water. Panteras like mine have run in open oceans since 1974 including the old Miami to Bahamas or Miami to NYC challenges. The 260V is a 7' beam, 24 degree deadrise like a Pantera. There are Superboats, Kryptonites, Activators, Progressions, Phantoms, etc. that are all layed up fairly light and run the rough as good as any boats ever built.

Im sorry if my comment offended you, that was not my intention. As far as hull characteristics, im well aware of that as I've bin a high performance boater my entire life. And as far as you taking a shot at my BEAK boat, that's kind of funny because pantera (while a well built boat and a true offshore classic) has always bin a loser to fountain in the real offshore racing world. That's not a debate, its a fact. Fountain has won more offshore boat races then every other manufacturer COMBINED. So your 24 pantera isn't winning anything offshore against any beak boat. Sorry for the rebuttal but you went there first. Have a great day
