On my 03 353 Fastech with 500 EFI I am currently turnning 29 labbed Hydros (needing service) so my question is what
would the P5x's do for me or should I stick with another set of 29's. I need to get a backup set so I can send these out for service. Any advice ?
Thanks,JIm

I would recommend one of 2 propellers both being Hydromotive 5B's. the Hydro P5 or the P5-X. Both of these propelers performed well on the Formulas. The Formula racing teams all ran P5 propellers, but have not run the P5-X on the course. We havn't seen much of them this year. But I can tell you that several OSOer's with Formulas have used the P5-X props very successfully. Hope this helps.

Before buying any new propellers you need to clarify your goals.
What are the current performance numbers with the 4bl Hydro's?
We have set up numerous Fas-Tech's (including race applications) with Labbed Bravo 1's for years. Some of our current customers are running Maximus 5blade props and are seeing huge cruising improvements and stable top end numbers.

okay when freshly labbed I saw 84 gps wot 5100 rpm good number I thought now down 5 mph so would that in mind most of my boating is 4000 to wot with the occasional pokerrun so I am not opposed to keeping these after cleaned up and having another set. I would like to carry the bow a littlle higher if possible but my concern would be to achieve quicker planning and mid to upper range cruise so what size, what model and how much should I expect to spend? Please PM me as I am a serious buyer.
Thanks, JIm

I would recommend the 5B Hydromotive P5-X. If you woud like a pitch recommendation feel to call me anytime. The cost of the P5-X is $999.99 each and they typically run great out of the box without labbing.
