Has anyone run a 28 maximus on a 260 velocity? My friend is looking for better handling from it. The boat also has a 700hp whippled 502. Hasnt had much luck with hydromotive props on the boat, but has not tried 5B. Thanks for the info.

I have run the 5B props on many Velocity Boats. They run quite well actually. I would encourage him to try a Hydro P5-X. We do have a test prop program that may be of interest to him. Feel free to call and speak with anyone here about the Prop Fitting Program.

The p5x works awsome on my 290 Velocity. With the 525 EFI,Itried the 28 Bravo1 and the 27 p5x.Handling and acceleration are a lot better with the Hydro. Also the cruise is better.Julie was a big help in my testing of props.

Both ran 82 at 5300 rpm.The 5 blade gets there quicker. For single engine boats the 5 blade is the way to go!!!!!!
