Shorter Drives need 5-blade prop?
Do most of those going to shorter drives find that 5 blade props work the best? I am speaking about mid-range performance as well as top end. I was told that going to shorties means using a round ear type prop such as the Mercury Bravo and Maximus.

I'm not on "Shorties" but I'm raised on Stellings Boxes, and I just went from B1s to Maximus. I dropped my slip from over 20% to 13% My midrange increased by 10mph at 3500 and I'm running 1 mph faster at top end 500 rpm lower than before. Those results were without any other adjustments.
