Default Speedmaster (#6) props

What's the status of Mercury Racing's new CAD speedmaster props? Am currently using MR 17.5 x 35, 4 blades, but may need 5 blades: slip is high.

I just reduced slip from going from a 5 blade Rolla 17 x 31 to a 4 blade MR 18 x 32.

That's interesting....wonder how the MR 5 blade would compare to the Rolla? What was your beginning and ending slip%? Are these on your Arnesons?
Thanks

Brett-
Thanks for the call today. We'll keep bumping the throttles to see what happens. Will call you in about a week to report.

On the Arnesons. My top end was on the money with the 5 blades but out of the hole was terrible. Now with the 4's out of the hole is much improved, mid range is greatly improved and have not checked top end yet. Once I have top end we can calculate the slip.

This past winter I have also flipped back and forth with the 5 and 4 blades on the Skater. 17 1/2 x 31 MR 4's out performed the 17 x 31.5 five blade Rollas across the board.

The major difference is the 5 blade Rollas still have 5 blades each. One of the Merc's now only have 3. Historically typical of MR props.
