Adding whipple EFI to 454 mag. How much more prop?
I'm running a 25p turbo 1 3 blade (also bravo 1 with same results) 5000rpm at 71.4mph. I'm adding a whipple EFI blower to the engine and an Imco 2" shortie. What pitch should I use to get the right ballpark? I want to run a hydro QIV.

I would recommend that you talk to Whipple about the specific blower you are installing and get the RPM recommendations, for that blower size and boost. You may need to change your REV Limiter in order to get to the new power (HP)or the RPM at which it will now be produced. If you need to run at a higher RPM your prop may be appropriate for testing, as you will spin it at a higher RPM, than before. Let us know the specifics about the WHipple and we can help from there.

Typically, with the application you have, the rev limiter will go to 5400 and the hp gains will be in the 175-200 range. If these numbers are acurate. You will need to go to a Bravo 1 28 box stock or a 27 Q4. Because of the shorty the R's will grow. Ultimately, the boat will tell you where you need to go but, these numbers will be good starting points.
I'm not sure you will like the Q4 with the short drive.
