Boat 32 Advantage twin 650hp was turning 28p WOT 5000 rpms 80 mph. Last weekend put on friends 26p labbed to try and with 180 gallons fuel WOT was 5400 at 78 mph. What should we try next?? I figured we should hit close to 90mph??? My Bravo 1 drive is the old pre OM serial number. Is it the drive??? I'm open for any suggestions,my old motors took this boat to 80mph with 500hp. These motors maximum trq 4800rpm max hp 6000

My dyno sheet showed maximum trq @4800 rpm 632.8 Max rpm 6000 with 659.5 hp. The boat really came on plane fast and has a great mid range power. It seems to respond well to the 26 props but lacks the top end. Don't you agree we should be seeing atleast 90mph top end??

If you are producing significantly more HP at 6000 then you will get closer to your goal But you are looking for 10 MPH over your initial testing. Is there a great difference in HP from 5400-6000?

I don't know about finding 10 MPH with 28.6 HP. I would suspect that you may fidn 3-5 possibly when you get over the hump. You may accomplish this thru labbing your current propellers.

First there is a inconsistancy with the 400 rpm difference between the two props. There should be more.

If the 28's are true stock, I'd Lab them to gain the most rpm you can. Your slip is low and you will not see much gain in speed by depitching or going to smaller pitch props to get into the high 5000's with the hp gains you have there.

Expect 85-86 mph.
