I JUST got my Hyrdromotive Quad IV dialed in perfectly for my 24' Lavey NuEra when a 50' houseboat hit it while parked and totalled it on July 4th.
New boat is a 29' Magix Wizard XL with 496 HO. Factory prop is a 24P Bravo. The problem is, I'm at 6,000' elevation and only spinning this prop 4400 RPM at 56MPH. I put my lab-finished 23P Hydro on and ran 58MPH at the same RPM.
I know NOTHING about the 'best' style of prop for a boat as long as the Wizard. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.
The Quad IV Hydromotive has their lab finishing on it and is cut down to 14 7/8" diameter. They charged me just shy of $1,000 for this prop (receipts emailable) and it has ONE HOUR of use. Anybody want to make me a reasonable offer?
Thanks in advance!
