Best prop for a 31' Awesome Thundercat..
Looking for new props for my "new" boat..
It's a 31' Awesome with 525's, XR's with ITS boxes...
It currently has 32 pitch Bravo I's spinning out that HAVE been modified by someone and now aren't in the best of shape...
Haven't gotten a LOT of seat time.. So far the best I've seen was 90 MPH @ 5000 RPM but still had a little hop to it. (thinking I was overtrimmed a bit)
I've talked to a few different people and keep getting different answers....
I KNOW I need to test test test but like to at lease start in the right place....
SO.. any idea WHAT works best on this hull ?
Cleaver or round ear ?
Mercury, Hydromotive, or Cutting Edge ?
4 blade or 5 blade ?
Spinning IN or OUT ?

4 blade Hydromotive according to “quest” here on the forum. He’s run his 3100 AO over 140mph at the LOTO Shootout.

Ended up having to go though the engines
they're NOW making 580 hp @ 5500 Rpm
Borrowed some STOCK 32 Bravos to try......
Hit a max of 98 MPH @ 4900 RPM..
Tried trimming back IN after the boat was packing air @ 80 mph and it caused the bow to slap the water, so as I've heard, the tunnel isn't quite big enough on this hull..
The boat DID finally stop porpoising with a little positive trim (4 °)
So all that being said, am I better off sticking with round ear (bow lifting) props or is it worth trying some cleavers ?
Will maybe a 30 pitch Bravo I will be the best choice ??
Thanks !

I know nothing about your hull, but the stock prop is defiantly loading the engine more than the others, so Id try to get the revs up to 5150 5200 and it may pick up 1-2 mph

I'd like to see you test some BBLADES 4-SPEED OB/FX at 15.25 x 30.
