These are the motors we put in the boat in 2010. Boat was owned by Johnny Voils (sp) and sold to Gino Soave just before repo.A shop off of Southfield built the engines and they did not last 1/4 mile thats when Gino turned the boat back over to Johnny and then it went to the bank.

If its the same boat there should be some repair to the port side of the bow from where Johnny in 1 of his drunken moments hit a buoy at speed.

Yup, same boat. The repair is being repaired. Not to bash anyone, but the repair was very very poor.

Any specs on the motors and speed #'s?

I am pretty much going through every part of the boat. There were a lot of interensting repairs made over the years.

Any more info or pics would be great.

The engines I installed were built by Holbrook racing for Gino and had dyno sheets showing 850 HP.We also sold and install a set of upgraded Bravo Shop drives and HP gimbals.I do not have any info on speed (beer talk was 90) but do know that the years Johnny had the boat it did not see much use, it was from what I was told a Bravo eater. He ran the boat 1 year with the hole duct taped and I think his painter buddy did the "repair".

What did you have to give for the boat? If I remember correctly Johnny owed 30K and Gino payed for the rebuilds and drives then was to make the payments if everything worked out.I later heard that Holbrook fixed the blown engine and Gino sold off the hardware to recover the money he spent.

I won't make the purchase price public but I will say it was significantly way less than 30K.

Give Justin van Dijk a call 248-229-7553. He and his team are great people. They will not be the cheapest but they go the extra mile to make sure you are happy in the end. They were able to do the oem custom look I was looking for.

It has been a while since I last updated this thread. She’s still a work in process, but at least now there is a light at the end of the tunnel. While the engines were out I decided to re-paint the bilge.
