Here's a pic of the cols mounted to the bracket we built to mount on the valve cover. With the stainless marine GEN III exhaust there was not much real estate.

Sweet engines. We may have similar builds, minus the fuel injection. Did you post your engine info? 14-71s?

What heads, size are you running?

Good luck, make power.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

Thanks again Kev for posting the link. I wish I would have just posted this in the General Discussion forums since very few people look outside of there. Please feel free to ask any questions or provide any input.

The engines specs are;

Dart 598CI 4.500 x 4.600
Oliver Rods 6.7in
Ross Pistons custom built to achieve 8.5:1 cr
Madara Cam- specs not shared out of respect to Bob
PF Inter-cooler
Blower shop intake
Pro Comp Heads- They has been completely reworked and I have a ton of money into them now. The good thing is they flow just about 400cfm at .700. I could have easily gone to a different brand and probably save some cash after what it to straighten them out.
14-71 Blower shop Blower

Look back through the thread if you have not as of yet, there are a lot of custom 2 off built parts. I'd appreciate the feed back.

Very cool. Did you ever get your water pickup figured out? Gil had this made, goes on a Top Gun, no adjustment. He actually notes that the water coming off the notch actual "squirts" upward into the pickup (while on plane) . With the dual stage pumps, should have enough suction until I get on plane.

We are also doing some custom stuff, although maybe not as exotic as you are. I am running 572 ci w/ 14-71 TBS blowers, they made pretty good money off of us two in the past few months...

Very cool. I have not done anything with the water pickup, I will probably buy a Teague one.

I know I've dished out my fair share of cash for my project.

I just got off the phone with Rik about the Arneson parts I need. He is an Awesome guy to work with. So I should have some Armesons to assemble soon!

Do you have a thread on yours? I may of missed it.

No, I never really started one. Sometimes when I think of the project, I get a little agitated. It's been too long, spent too much money, and missed too much boating.

In the end I'm sure it will be awesome, but I'm ready for it to be all over, for the mere fact I no longer have to think about it. And then there's repairs and maintenance.....

Your boat will be awesome, hope to see it someday. I really like those Black Thunders, neat boats. Keep trucking along and get her wet this year.
