Here I go again.....
So the tape on the bottom of the template can be removed, and more plastic filler (bondo) can be pushed into the other side.
No worries about the Lowrance.....It still has the tape on it....

Once it dries, I use a razor around the back side to help me release the Lowrance.....then push it out. The mess is gone when I take the tape off....
Then I grind the extra off of the template and trim the opening with a straight cut bit in the table.....
