Loaded up one of the engines and delivered it to my stainless welder to have turbos connected. This one should be ready to hit the dyno next month. Think the new 15qrt marine oil pan design turned out pretty nice.
However it might looked better if it was transported in a GM powered truck...

Definitely a dream build right there! What cam are you using I assume AF?

Yes it's an AF cam. Was originally going with Empire stage 2, then Socal, and end up using Wagler's stage 1 grind. He was the only guy with two on the shelf that week who returned my calls.. Should pull to 4200, which is plenty high enough.

Few pics from past week.
Getting some turbo pipes built, front plate designs laid out, and the oil coolers are back from paint..Sticking with strict black, blue, and silver theme throughout.

Wow Kid that is a very impressive looking package. Is Banks going to make those intakes available to you on a semi large scale or is this a one off thing?

Banks only had a couple intake castings left on the shelf when I last ordered. Actually purchased one of these used off the Duramax Forum from a truck puller. The cost on the Banks setup is pretty reasonable for what your getting, comparable to other cupro-nickle cores out there. However there remains the issue with having to relocate accessories and turbo. So I will likely use them again for twin turbo builds, but stick with a more stock setup on singles.

Both sets of up pipes and and intake tubes are finished. Picked everything up yesterday and dropped them off to be polished.

For the turbo inlet side I'm working on some billet velocity stacks with MAF sensor and electronic actuated positive air stop valve built in. Here is drawing and 3D model for mock up. While a PASS isn't actually a performance part, they are priceless if you blow a turbo seal. Diesels only require fuel and air to run, and motor oil makes a great fuel...
