On these engines they knock down 500F turbo air to sub 100F while drinking about 80gpm. But then everything down stream gets a randomly preheated cooling supply. So it's not easy getting all the systems up and operating within their optimal temp ranges, never the less, all the time. Need a plumbing engineer just to draw it all up for ya. Then it's a best guess.

All the pieces for the extension boxes are cut and waiting for me in Sarasota. I'll be back on it with pictures Monday. Just need to find a good aluminum welder / fab guy now to piece it all together and we will be good to go. Any suggestions? Hogie..

Injectors came back from cerakote last week. Hope they hold up good as they look. Was the only Rusty piece on the whole build. So that wraps up the pump failure pieces to get Stbd going again.

Fasterproms is co-located next to a weld shop that those guys all love using.

Thanks man I'll keep them in mind. I met with a Bradenton guy today that came highly recommended from some local boat guys. Said long as I can get everything ready to weld up, he can squeeze me in. So guess who will be cutting all the struts and cardboard patterns for the outer wrap this week>>??

The end plate slide over the transom assembly studs without any tweaking today. So that's a good start. Well actually I started the day off right by slicing my hand open on one of these pieces before 10AM. Note To Self; Piece fresh out of the waterjet machine are sharp as F....

You can see where I made a compromise on the top edge to do a flat 6x6 inspection plate. The rest of the contour seems to be about right. Once wrapped, should be be pretty smooth.

Also managed to get the second fire bottle mounted up today. Had to lower this one a good bit to clear the factory cable conduit tubes. But she's now armed and ready for whatever the fire gods throw at us.

Great project, well done
Just wondered if using a 2 speed with step up is the answer so you drop the torque for the drive?
cheers

Would a 6" extension box allow the transmission to be located 6" rearward and the engine 6" back?

If everything was parallel likely. The old boxes were about 7".

Before I start cutting angles and tack welding, what you engineering students think of my struts layout??

All plates parallel in one plane won’t provide much resistance to twisting the two plates relative to each other, but your outer plates should handle the twisting forces.
