Default 1979 Uniflite need 454 help

I recently purchased a gen vi 454 with gen v heads rectangle ports 118cc. The original motor is a 1979 crusader 454 350hp. My question is my intake manifold from old motor does not fit the new motor WHY? whats my best option to use my carb off old motor.
And will my old distributor work on new motor? Starting to get worried that what i thought i could just swap over on old motor isn't quite true. Other parts not sure are flex plate for trans. Thanks for the help in advance.

The flywheel is balanced either for cast crank -flat tops or forged and domed. And you will need one for one piece seal now also. . Some differences in bolt hole size for accesories in front heads sometimes but not big deal to adress. You may have a issue getting fuel to your carb now ,using mechanical pumps
If i was you , i would confirm the presence of a forged crank in that block before i went further
