I put a Perko flush kit on my boat and it was the most loving thing I’ve ever done for myself. I don’t like the plastic Perko valve though and replacing it with a normal tee so it back flush the bravo as well. The Perko doesn’t let water back out the drive. It’s also easier to winterize with the hose fitting instead of muffs.

All those photos and stories from the engine bay, I'd forgotten the boat is white!

First off, thank you for the kind words and thumbs up you put out there after the first test run.
Was a long process that i'm greatfull for both getting the boat and being able to do the work to get to this point.
So weather has kept it out of the water plus the hatch needs to go on because of salt spray.
Being lazy, if the hatch went on now who knows if the ducts would ever get done.
Off the crappy molds i made a while back, over the weekend i pulled 6 real nice ducts, each with 2 layers of 1700 and ran out of the ve resin so the last 2 are 635 epoxy.
The 2 epoxy ducts go into the firewall and just get bilge paint, they fit flat so these will be screwed down, worst case they can get bonded on with some mat later.
The other 4 go into the hatch corners, and i want them glassed in place, resin and gel are on the way.
More body/finish work, i suck at it but i think they look better that way.
Had to put in a pic of the living room wall, i havent seen it in over a year since the hatch and firewall have been leaning on it all this time.

Looking great! Glad to read of your putting it in the water. You have meticulously built a beautiful boat. We’re gonna have to all get together one day when we have all our boats going.

engine hatch do over
A lot of work, boarded down ok, better than i thought but not pro by any means.
had to sand down to 1500 to find imperfections and thin spots.
Its going together and back in the water as is, will have to practice touch up or re shoot in a couple months.
Promised the guy i bought the boat from to bring it up, i think we're both chomping at the bit.
Got some good advice that was greatly appreciated.
Looking for some bodywork guidance
