A little trick that I have had to do to keep the cables from leaking was I took some of the good 3M shrink wrap and put a couple of layers over the cable we use the type with the glue inside and do one at a time heat it cool it a repeat. Regards Dan and always use new bushings Merc Part number 23-845970 . Good luck.

kplane issue since day 1 i think is resolved, first a new pump then some wiring that had to be put into that blue loom, threaded thru the cushion clamps and those screws resealed
it had to look like i wasnt in there.
next the cable thru hulls arent big enough for cables to go thru so 2 drill motors and 4 bits later and cables fit thru them.
the holes behind the kplanes that the cables originally went thru had to be cleaned out, and dowels glassed in.
the brass plugs are solid, so cushion clamps got thru bolted to hold the cables, now all indicators work.
vinyl sauce is some good stuff, the lightning bolt material is from 95-96
last time at a spoil island caused me to remove all the raw water hoses and backflush the coolers and the heat exchanger needed new orings and gaskets,
my fault on that one, but it was a good day.
unintentionaly ran it down to 4 gallons of gas and didnt run out.
prop is next, the 25 m plus hits 5150 w/ 3 adults, full fuel, cooler, gear, etc.
truck and trailer need rubber before it hits the highway.
other non boat stuff keeps it out of the water for another week.
boat is everything i expected and couldnt be happier.

Great looking boat Dan. I'm assuming you're enjoying the summer boating down there in Florida? Feels good seeing the boat in the water huh?

a little update, so this is not a good place for the camera, pic 2 is around 3500 rpm and pic 3 is wot.
the video is all noise and spray.
picked up a garmin gpsmap 78sc and a ram mount, it works perfectly and i can see the screen no problem at wot and regardless of sun. used it today first time.
box stock 25 rev 4 is consistently running 72 @ 5130 rpm think i want to try a 27 mirage non plus if i can find one that isnt molested.
for fun "fed ex santa" will be delivering tomorrow by end of day a 1960 6 foot 94 branch aluminum evergleam complete with color wheel and rotating stand that plays jingle bells. cant wait
