today i layed out the hook, its fairly consistent chine to chine but im only concerned from the keel to the outer strakes.

looks to be an 1/8" with the leading edge of it about 6 inches in from the transom.

the bottom was never wet sanded clean and buffed, i just swiped 610 on 7 or 8 spots and said ill get to it.

well im gettin to it now. This is more of a clean up than a truing/sanding but it is gonna get scuffed with that in mind.

By some miracle it gets me a 1/2, then itll come off the trailer and get sanded for another 1/2

Heath i hope its not gonna be that intense !

Spent some time double checking X then marking the indicator for level on the tabs too.

prop shaft is 4 3/8 which matches my notes and corresponds w/ the hook being an 1/8

and "the best guess "propshaft height being 4 1/2.

i think there's a 76 hiding somewhere in there and im gonna go after it.

have some tests and some stupid tests planned for next week.

I would tap the top 3 water inlet holes and put SS set screws in. (for testing )Then test and keep a eye on the water pressure ! That is if the lower unit doesn't have low water pick up ? Can't see it.
Just a idea.

Tested today but conditions favored the boat. Windy and choppy, not calm and nice like the previous tests.

Speed it ran today has nothing to do with me sanding the bottom it was all in the chop,
(more like scuffed it clean in the general direction of water flow)

Made 2 passes from christianson landing to sebastion inlet and back, very short day.

I let it run for a maybe a minute due to traffic so it never got a chance to settle in,

First pic is slowing down from wot and you can see how much trim it wanted

wot pics/footage is just misted out cant see sh!t

last pic is level trim at a lower speed that i'll get into after theres more time to go thru the video

1 inch spacer 25 mirage plus no ring, air temp in engine room @ wot was 95, full tank.
conditions sucked, port tab crabs the heck out of it and some chine walk because of it.
hit 71.9 turned 5120. Cant say they happened at same time but no matter how the math is done
speed is down 1 slip is up 1.

before spacer the 25 m plus would go into soft limiter @5150, i have 5180-5190 on other videos.
and speed was 73.4.

Nothing here really but air temp, camera does not show conditions wind over starboad usually needs no extra port tab but it did today.
I'm convinced tabs need to be horizontal to stop it from crabbing which makes chine walk,
but will finish this year off with spacer, i mean theres an hour on it, so it might get me something.
moving the tabs if it comes to that is gonna be a pain

like to hear any input (already know it needs a better driver)
