as you can see from Zf specs it says 330 kg not 330 lbs. I guess the specs could be wrong but I found them on several different sites with all being over 300 kg without converter. There is no way you can make it less then half the weight but stronger.

the engine specs I found on several different sites for bare engine at over 3,000 lbs . Yours will be a lot heavier by the time you rig it.

if you have the transmission there sit it on a scale and check to see what it weighed.

converter and heavy hydraulic retarder cooler weigh at least 80kg. and its lighter than 330kg stock. I scale it right I can borrow crane scale. Engine does not weigh so much, I have lift it several times. I have compared it to volvo and scania 9-13liter engines (900-1150kg) that I have lift and move, transmash is much lighter than those

I was little optimistic about transmission, it weight 230kg (510lbs) all useless removed (converter and internal hydraulic brake). It is 330kg stock. I need bigger scale to measure engine weight.

10-15kg will save if remove first gear hardware, but I keep it, just in case.

I post picture, transmash conrod vs big block. There you can see two press fit pins going through rod. Finger joint is very solid construction, pin must break 6 point at same time.
Crankshaft with conrods removed first from crankcase, so special puller fits in place.

Now I know facts!

Engine with marine exhaust manifolds 775kg!! (1708lbs), scale show 764 but another exhaust manifold is from tank and another is marine manifold, weight difference 10kg.
intake manifolds 6kg/ piece
injection pump 30kg
turbochargers 20kg/ piece
transmission 230kg
Engine mounting frame 64kg

Engine weight is 860kg without cooling and dry sump tank, I think it will be about 1000kg complete. heat exhancer is heaviest part.
Engine mounting frame 64kg
transmission and crosbox is about 350kg total
drives about 120kg total
its 1400kg(3070lbs)!! Of course weigh get up more. plumbing, brackets ect.
triple 525 efi weight 1632kg (3600lbs),
My diesel fountain will be lighter than original and maybe 1000hp more powerful

Very interesting and out there build. Love it. Have you considered running a turbine or is the 12 your route because you had It laying around etc?
Also have you calculated an estimated GPH?

keep it up!
