By the way, is anyone running big CV joints in drive line? I need constant velocity joints so there is no angle speed error that make vibration. 128mm crmo cv’s are rated near 10.000nm broke limit, but how much they make heat is BIG question? At 2500hp, torque is about 8000nm, 0.5:1 over gearbox split it and two drives split torq again so 2000nm / drive shaft at 4500rpm punish cv joints. If they boil grease, I have some problems. I can line up everything so there is not much angle on joints.

Skunkie, do you have pic of Diablo? Are there another but 42' Diablo in Norway with Mack engine and trimax drive? Do you have single surface drive.
Have you tried ballast tank, different rake props or front wings to get jumping under control?

It’s boring just buy complete boat or big merc racings. Best part of this project will be that I see how all engineering work or not work, if it make 100kn some day I will be more than happy. And I think there is no other boat like this on the planet earth...

"good things take time, some things take longer"
on the drive shaft angle, seems like the guys who have done it prefer to keep the angles small,
i'd keep them in line specially with those big torque numbers you have, simply because you want it to run and stay intact so it can be dialed in/propped/adjusted to perform at its best.
Unless some big beer company is buying the parts i would prefer not to break them
