Grab several pics, lets see how intact she is. The running gear (shaft strut rudder) is all available new.
Had i researched, would have held off for a barricuda, mustang, wildcat, they're out there, but i didn't know they existed.
I wouldn't hesitate to do another, this nautique i'd sell for what i got in it once it's completed and in the water so i could roll right into another project. All the glass work is done, just down to the touch up gel and rigging, might be back on the trailer this weekend.

Kid, that sounds good, you've got bigger fish going and this ski has to get finished and sent down the road.
Be real nice if this barricuda is a model year with fiberglass seat shells and fiberglass floor pan, still trying to nail the year that was started.

Dropped company off at the the airport @ 0500, another good visit. (10 days) ate drank and spent some time on the other boat.
He helped install the hardware, since he builds stuff it was all hands on deck head in the game etc etc, 4200 sealant and all screw heads pointing the same way. Nice to have help who knows the score.
did final thickened gel swipe today. Duratech arrived 2 days ago, we'll see how big of a mess i can make with that.
2 part epoxy primer for non skid is here and another gallon of non skid should be here any day.
amazing how 11 pieces of hardware gets the blood pumping.

Yep, yesterday I drove over out to the strawberry fields and back, my white tuck looks just like your gelcoat, just a little more smeared.. Haven't seen love bugs around here like this in years.

There not that thick down here yet.
i didn't see any until the gel was shot, soon as the wax came up and the gel skinned over the only ones around were stuck to it.

so that's 16 oz gel no wax 1 layer, then 2 layers 8 oz gel w/ 8 oz duratech.
#4 tip on cup gun for gel, 2.5 tip hvlp gun for the 50/50 mix.
i like the duratech. First time using it. There is some sanding but it looks like i can start with 800 wet we'll see i guess.

the gel/duratech mix sanded down just fine, thats a thousand grit and thats it for the gel.
