Default Thru Hull to bypass waterbox for Crusader 454s

Hi everybody, on a Monte Carlo Offshorer 30 I have the exhaust go through a water box and cannot really hear the awesome sound of twin big blocks running in parallel. I am thinking of adding a switchable thru hull, not to use too much, but I wonder if this is likely to burn a valve. Off the top of my head I would think straight pipes need richer settings on the Qjets, but as I pointed, not to use too much and I don't want new adjustments to upset the "normal" running mode.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I have done similar modifications I the past with no issues on lower HP engines.
Guessing you are based in Europe?
please post pictures of your boat, the Monte Carlo Offshorer is an awesome looking classic boat!

Just remove the water boxes. Nothing else should need to be done.
