Long story short I have a 1981 33' Limited Cigarette that "I love the thought" of but I haven't had the time (or when I had the time I didn't have the money) to make it what it needs to be. I am looking for someone close to me that would return the boat to what it should. I have been thinking about a different boat but I love this old boat. It doesn't have to be the fastest (as it will not be). I am around the Louisville, Ky area. Are there any shop the specialize in older go fast boats? I would be open to many different version of service from get it back in the water and working to maybe completely go through and upgraded. Anyone know anyone that does this type of work?

well again... labour of love ! if money is an object, you could float on an existing running boat for less $ than refitting yours. But if you value the model, the fun of making it your own, then go for it !
But make sure you know you are going to spend twice or triple what you plan...

Do you have an honest, good evaluation of what is needed for this restoration? It is one thing to update and improve, quite another to rebuild/repair major structural or mechanical issues. And regardless of what the heart says, sometimes the head needs to chime in and make sure it makes sense, lol! Trust me, I've been there, done that many times back in my days of restoring English sports cars!
