We installed 23p Mirage Pluses (currently plugged vents) but have not been able to open it up yet, Next step is to raise the engines up and then start trying out different props. Any suggestions / comments on setup are certainly welcome.

Have you reached out to Doug at Saber for Set up?

Great Boats!

Steering is insanely tight, that’s the main thing we’re working on now. Other than, it runs great. A few small kinks that have needed fixed after the first couple of outings, but nothing major… yet!

I reached out to him when we were buying the boat, but not about setup yet. He seems to be very helpful in the little I did talk to him.

Thanks for posting, made my day, don't get many Saber posts. Love the boat, would of bought myself if I had the opportunity. Looks like an original race built boat with the center steering and entry to the cabin. Probably one or two ever made with factory race outboard setup.

Wish I could find one with a single engine or outboards. Might have to buy the 2017 one that's been for sale for a while if I can save up the funds and it's still available in 6 months.

It is an old race boat, used to be center steer, no cabin underneath, just bulkheads (I’ll post a photo or two of it if I have some). When I talked to Doug he mentioned there were 4 of these from the factory with outboards (I think that excluded the newer one that’s out there). I have a picture of a couple of them, I’ll post those too.

I’m still getting the hang of it, but I love it so far. It rides great, especially when it’s a little rough. This is the only Saber I’ve been on so far so I can’t comment on the single/twin I/o. However, the single 28 with “28” and a large “Saber” on the side is local to me so hopefully I can get a ride some day!

Here’s a couple photos of the bulkheads.

And here are some photos of the other two outboard boats I have photos of. I’m pretty sure the yellow one is a Saber, right?
