I have recently acquired a 1989 38’ Kevlar Scarab excel ex Drambuie boat originally powered by 2x650 hp gentry turbo engines.
Does anyone know the difference between the excel model and the thunder model?
The boat is currently being rigged with a single 1600 hp turbine with power being split to two arneson surface drives.
Does the scarab excel make a good boat? As It seems to have only be made for a short period of time.

The Thunder models were supercharged and I believe had an upgraded interior. I saw one when they first came out and it had leather interior, I don't know if this was standard or made for the boat show.
