anyone have any info about a 1992 SCARAB 28', XLT. with twin 454s? and bolsters? is it the same boat as the late 80's early 90's 28' scarab excell. most 28' scarabs I have seen have single motors and no bolsters?
any info would be great.

I have a 1991 XLT with twin 454 mags. Its a performance boat, not the sit down like the other excels. In the cuddy it has a v-berth up front with a small couch on each side as well as a sink. In the cockpit, there are the two stand up bolsters and bench seat across the back. Plenty of room for my family of 4. In the bilge, the engines are shoehorned in there. There's maybe 4" between the exahust risers.
We like it, it gets small on rough weekends, but it always gets us to the party...![Big Grin](/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
If you have any specific questions, post em up.

Thanks for the info. Eyezlee
I have not seen this boat before, I thought all 26 / 28 scarabs were the “sit down” style. I like that boat but we are looking for a boat with bolsters, this just might do the trick.
Do you know if the hull is the same? It appears to be a deeper boat more like the newer 29’s. What kind of speeds are you getting with the 454s? any problems to look for ?? Do you have any pics?
Thanks, Speed
