1997 Scarab 29 Single Engine Performance??
Curious as to what I could expect performance wise teamed up with a Mercruser 502 Magnum MPI engine w/Bravo 1 drive. Currently have a 6yo co-captain with a stern "Admiral" along for the ride so absolute top end speeds are not that important. Also should I be able to pull behind a Lincoln Navigator? Run to coast would be 40 miles but trip to Lake Travis, TX about 200 miles.
And yes I know the trailer would not last 6 months along the coast.

Re: 1997 Scarab 29 Single Engine Performance??
SANLEAONKID,
I have the exact same boat except mine in a 96 model. The single 502 will get ya about 62 to 64 depending on water conditions. The ride is great in decent rough stuff. Not sure about the tow rating of the Navigator, but the Navigator is a decent size rig. I would check on it.
I pulled mine with a F250 4x4, but now I have a 2005 Excursion which pulls it with no problems.
You will definitely be pleased with her. I went to an extreme with performance goodies with mine. Maybe I'll see ya if ya happen to come my way. I boat a lot in Clear Lake and Galveston area. I'm currently putting a bigger motor in mine and hope to have it back together by the middle of July.
Here's mine.
Good luck !!
