Rub Rail Replacement
I was wondering how difficult it might be to replace the rub rail on a Scarab since mine is a bit nicked up. It appears to be made of a flexible rubber but not sure how to get if off for replacement. Any suggestions woud be appreciated.

Re: Rub Rail Replacement
I bought a new rub rail from a Wellcraft dealer. They either have the parts in stock or order from Wellcraft.
I used a heat gun to soften up the vinyl on the corners.

Re: Rub Rail Replacement
I have a '90 34' Scarab with the same dilemma. Only I have the old aluminium rub rail. Mine is basically made up of nose, 2 x 16' side pieces & a stern piece(s??) Anyhow after some blood, sweat & tears I finally got the 2 side pieces off because they were a bit beaten about. I am having a hard problem finding replacements on the West Coast. I live in Sydney, Australia & need to transport them by 40' container. I have no problems shipping them from the West Coast but can't source any from there. And to buy from Florida costs more in transport to the West Coast than the initial purchase. No aluminium extruder in Australia has that shape & costs too much to buy tooling. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
