Hi,
I recently had my windshield repaired on my '90 34 Scarab. After removing it, I found that most of the rubber grommets from the lower panel screws had disintegrated. Does anyone know where to find these? They are a special fit through the windshield hole seating into the hole in the hull. There is a small metal ring that fits on top of the grommet for the screw to nest safely without destroying the rubber. Additionally, I am short on some of the upper screws with rear seats. They are the big, chromed, fancy ones with the flat head screw pattern. Anyone know where to find these?
Thanks,
Jez

Hi Jez. i have the same boat and i may be swiching to a different method of fastening my windshield in. i'm putting a Bimini top on it and i would like to come up with a custom fastener with a snap head in the middle of it so i can attach the top there. if so i will have some extras, they are imposible to find otherwise. i will see what i can do.
how is the boating in Australia?

Hey Glassdave. Drop me a line if you come up with something on the new fasteners. I am a couple of screws short at present which is really bugging me. I want to get it finished!!
The boating down here is excellent wherever you go. I live in Sydney & do all my boating on the harbour. It's a fantastic waterway, very picturesque, especially at night with the cityscape behind. Additionally you can go outside the heads for a little offshore action.
