Transom tie downs
Anybody got any pics of where the transom 'u' bolts should be on a 28' excel?
Mine does not have any and I would like to install them but I am having trouble finding a good spot that clears the tabs and swim platform. Please do not tell me they should be in the swim platform, removing that to put the bolts in would be a P.I.A.

Found the same thing with my 28' and now my 34 Scarab Excel's. The boat has them already installed, the problem is they're covered by the bolt on swim platform.
You have to go with straps to the stern cleats instead, and use some cushioning material so they don't rub your gelcoat up top.

Is that too much of load for the cleats? I thought about that but was afraid I would damage the fiberglass, seemed like a very odd angle to pull on the cleats. Do you go up the sides or up the back?
