Default day 2 in a Scarab 33 . 30mph winds on Galveston Bay

I didnt blow the doors off of anyone but we aired it out a bit. Wife is amazed at how much better the scarab rides on the bay as opposed to the Regal 32.....

Other than a gas gauge stuck on 2/3'rds which was really EMPTY and a quick tow by some great guys from JJR Electrical it was a pretty good day.

There was actually a donzi Classi in-between the two, but only for two seasons. Yesterday was the first time I had ever been out in any type of seas (well bay). Being able to power up through the chop and stay on top of the water was a great feeling. I have been reading through the forums here for a little over a year and always a bit well ... only a bit skeptical as to how the boats, exspecially the #1 rated Scarab , handled the big stuff. I may never get all the salt spray off the boat but it was a huge thrill getting up on top and feelin the boat pull away across the waves and out from under me. I am definately hooked.

Winds have died down a bit today so I'll be out honing my skills at a little faster running.

I can tell that I have much to learn getting the feel of my boat.

Congrats! The new owner of mine came and picked it up on sunday. It was sad,,,but its time to move on.
