Yes i have carb spacer but thats not what im talking about i have spacer under the engine mount i cannot post picture cause im new here

i had 86 spyder with tw 330..stock motors
the boat would torwue to right cause of the bbc
would level with drives..but had alphas behing bbc..issue waiting to happen..
think the best it ran was 64....
was good in rough water .......i guess

If the engines were raised, that would reduce drag. But changing the transom to acomodate that is a ton of work.

Damn, big blocks in a Spyder.

I have seen a few boats with around a 1" thick piece of wood used a spacer for the engine. Some of them seemed to have come that way from the factory but have no way to confirm, and others to compensate for a rotten and sagging stringer.
