79 Scarab 377 project
Hello everyone. I love the forum and all the great info and input. Keep up the good work. Like others, i love big boats, big engines, and speed but dont have the big $$$$. I figured i would post some before and after pics to see what u think. This is my first boat so im trying and learning so much. 2 stagerred 400 cyclones. I can post more pics and info if anyone would like. I have SO many questions so i hope i can get some help. Thanks for looking.

it looks nearly identical to my old '79 377 even the multi-colored hockey stick stripe. mine had staggered engines that were originally 400 Cyclones too. I redid darn near everything in that boat. Keep me posted, good luck. -Jeff

Nice boat, love the classic lines of a Scarab.
I've seen you in the Moot a couple times, sounds pretty good too.
Heres a couple of pics out of a 1979 catalog........

hey senza, I have those same 1979 pix (photocopied from my library). kinda interesting the variatons in the '79s, some had the port holes above the rubrail and others were below; some had the twin captain chairs, others had bolsters (at least two different kinds), also different kinds of bowrails and aft rails. scaraboatr, keep us up to date. - jeff

Senze, wow the catalog pics are too cool. Thanks for posting those. That is my same interior layout. Its neat to see that from back then. My next step is to find someone fsirly priced to do my interior so i can say goodnight to the horrible "hippie" color striping going through my cockpit.

Glassdave, by saying best hulls what do you mean? Was there something that was different in this hull than others? Or was it just well built? Im not too familier with the history so i like learning more about my boat. It still amazes me how smooth this boat rides, even in 3-4 chop.
