Default vacuuflush head 38'

I posted this in the tech section , but I thought I would bring it up here too.....I have a 38' Scarab (1998) that has a macerator pump and waste tank set up for the head. In the instruction manual it states there should be a seacock for water for the head, but I dont see one anywhere. I assume it uses water from the fresh water tank.Is this possible? Also the oveboard disharge handle wont move, does anybody know anything about these things, like the problems they have? Thanks,Mike

If it is a vacuflush head it uses water from the tank, not seawater. The handle for the overboard/holding tank discharge may have been fixed in place due to overboard dumping restrictions. Some states would levy fines if you even had the possibility of dumping overboard if you were boating on inland waters. Just a thought

That is very possible. I will ask the previous owner if he ever dumped overboard. Mike
