Go ahead and trim your drives down a little. Trim needs to be exaggerated because they don't have leverage on the boat like a sterndrive since the "push" is right at the water line and not 2' below. It really won't hurt speed or cruise economy. Might even tab down a little.
Get it just off porpoise. Make note of the settings.

So I have been enjoying the boat and getting more comfortable with it. It is definitely under propped! I started with 25p x 16.5 4 blades. With these blades the boat only ran 68-69 at 5200. It also took a lot of throttle to get on plane and it was pretty slow to get up and going. I started looking for a different set of blades but while looking a friend let me borrow a set of 3 blade 28p x 18. I bolted them on and WOW! The boat gets on plane faster and with less throttle input. It also pushed the boat to 78-79 at 5200!! This is now officially 7mph faster than I ever saw with the TRS! I also have more throttle on the stick so I am thinking another 2-3 degrees of pitch and she will be perfect! That will probably be my focus for the winter is to find the right set but these 3 blades are pretty nice!
Very happy!!
On the down side one of my steering Rams started to weep at the wiper seal! . I dropped the cylinder off at a hydraulic shop to have it rebuilt but I don't want to lose the weekend of boating so I am going to run with one piston. This is actually the way the Kaama setup was designed and I will just be taking it easy!
Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Did you make any changes to the engines or is the speed increase due strictly to the drives?

Congrats my friend!!! Welcome to the Kaama Club. Good numbers!!!
My boat always ran a little faster with 3-blades, but the four blades sure are nice for overall boating. My 3Bs always seemed (to me anyway) to be slipping until you got it hooked up and hauling butt. 4Bs felt hooked up all the time and cut my cruising RPM by 5-600.
Did you get those 28s on Swap?

I would love a set of 5 blades. 4 blades are so smooth, I bet 5B is awesome!
