Better than ever here in Florida. His wrench is still in the same wrapper as it was laying around in Bellagio for a year.. . Send him my regards anyway. Miss you folks out there and the lake.

Well, I have finally found a 38' raider for sale on craigslist.

Looks like a pretty cool boat if your going after a LOT of cockpit space. Has some of the same lines as the 38 KV but it looks like the bow rail is on the outside and has 4 hatches instead of 2.

Team Scarab boats with outbords.
There hasn't been a lot of Team Scarabs made for outboards and I was hoping to document where they're at and have been. Like Olli mentioned, the 1987 Team Scarab 38' rigged by Marvin Catrett of Evolution Marine fame in Morgan City, LA ended up in Finland with Patrick Rinne and after getting damaged during a Baltic Sea race in late 1988 has not been spotted.
The Team Scarab 43' that Catrett also rigged was used as most know as APBA's medical rescue and official pace boat for the 1988 offshore racing season, but what happened to her after that?
The 1978 Team Scarab 9 Meter Kevlar49, with twin 240 hp Mercury outboards, that Betty Cook took the Sea of Cortez record in was last spotted in Lake Elsinore, CA about 5 years ago. Where's she now?
The list goes on of course,(it's preciously short though) and I will continue with a few more in my next post, but 'till then I have great hopes that fellows like Mike Jenkins, Craig Archer, Jeff Brown and Honorable Larry Smith himself chip in and fill in the blanks. Long live the Team Scarab Boats!
Courtesy of powerboatarchive.co.uk I post this link to the amazing story of Betty Cook's and Team Scarab's Sea of Cortez record run;
