Default 29 scarab W/O power

Is there any inerest out there in a 1996 29' single with no power, on a double axle aluminum trailer? I don't see any in the classifieds and not too many out there on the net. Had it listed a couple of times as a running boat but i was a little "optamistic" with my price and didnt get many hits. Just curious if things like this are even moving in this market?

Thinking about listing it in the classifieds, not sure where to start without power.

Exterior shines like new but does have some blemishes and scratches but nothing that can be seen without looking for it. Interior was updated in 2003(Dash panels,gauges,shifter/throttle,and upolstry). The upolstry is 9yrs old and not perfect, there are two places where the stitching is coming apart from getting in/out the boat but no tears or rips anywhere. full twin ram external hydraulic steering. The drive was gone through 3yrs ago and boat has been used maybe twice since then. Full boat cover, cockpit cover, double axle aluminum trailer with new tires but needs brake work. Also could include stainless marine long risers and spare bravo

I have just recently decided to sell less power and don't really know what it worth. Just don't have time for it anymore.

1996,It had a 509mpi with a cam and Whipple charger. Ran about 73 with the charger. I removed the blower and never had time to prop it right. As far as price, that is what this thread was about, trying to see where to price it. I really dont know where to start, havnt pulled the motor yet just dont have time to trouble shoot the grounding problem with wiring harness. you could pm me an offer maybe we go from there. Just thought someone might know what its worth.

look in the swap shop to see what hulls with no power have been going for. unless you are trying to dump it cheap you will probably be disappointed at what they sell for. I would think if you are real lucky you might get 15k if you find some who has to have that exact boat. baja 272 went for 5500 I think and formula 311 was at 7500 last I checked also a formula 272 went around that same price. all with no power and trailers. They were dated looking though, your boat looks nicer. Even still likely expect less than 10k, unless you wait for that person looking for that exact boat. So many hulls out there right now.

professor,
Thanks for the input, I've heard the larger single engines have become a little more popular in the current state of the market but your probably right. Actually 15k is damn close to where I need to be but that guy might be hard to find. It's not killing me to keep it, but it wouldn't hurt to move it if you know what I mean, got a 3yr old and 1yr old and trips down the river havnt been on the top of the list for a while. Maybe I'll just list it and see what happens If I don't move it I'll work on the engine after Hunting season.

I sold it awhile back, it was the old sidemount style with the piggyback computer. That's my problem with the engine now, the whipple harness was spliced into the engine harness in a bunch of places and I'm having a grounding problem can't get the injectors to pulse.
