Default 33 avs trim indicator gauge repair? Volvo

I have found a scarab 33 avs with the volvo 500 dpx motor package. The port side trim indicator gauge does not work. The broker said that the owner looked into the repair and said that the motors need to be pulled out to replace the sensor / selonoid. Can any one confirm or deny this claim. Seems a bit intense for fix like this.

Hey Nick, this is not correct. It is a tight squeeze to get to the tabs but it is doable, unless that solenoid is mounted to the underside of the oil pan. Ask me how I know, and I aint skinny by any means. To gain good acces you might have to pull the port riser, after that you should have no problem reaching anything tab related. Long term, if you buy that boat ditching the Bennetts for K-plane type tabs might not be a bad idea. Good luck. All in all that boat looks pretty clean, just a little underpowered

Mark,

I just told my wife last night that I wish our budget was just a bit higher for the 600 dpx package. Its insane how responsive the avs is with the 600 motors. May be the lotto will bring me the extra 15k to get in the 600 price range. lol.

This boat Im looking at does have the K-planes. Low hours as well.
