Has anyone replaced vinyl rub rail with stainless?

Don't use stainless! You will never bend it. Here is the aluminum

540's just added boxes and -2 lowers. Playing with props right now. 84 at 4900. Handling is a huge difference

Man I love your boat, that's awesome. My last boat I built 540s 625 horse cig bullet ran 80. So I'm pretty excited about having a step hull boat.

Not sure what I want to do for power this winter. Either swap 502 efi mag for 500 525efi motors or go thru 502s and put whipples on top of them.

Hey DM - did you just swap out the insert or replace the entire rub rail? Not sure if the 33's and 38's have the same rub rail style, but I was told both pieces would need to be changed on my '99 38 AVS. The insert is pretty reasonable, it's the underlying piece the insert fits into that gets pricey.
