Its not a Scarab or even a Wellcraft. That one running engine doesn't seem to run too well. It starts to stall when the idle comes down and it stumbles when it accelerates. What is the HIN?

Do you mean BIN?
I think he wantd 8k, but it only made 5600 on ebay and wasnt over reserve.
I found another advert for it, and iot has a bouble post crossover bar like the Scarab 50 in the for sale section here but it's facing the other way, sloping backwards.
I quite like a project and have more resources now that before, but would prfer a boat that scabby but with working engines as they are the biggest headache in project boats!

HIN = Hull Identification Number, Like a VIN number for an automobile.
With the HIN number most here can tell you exactly who the manufacture is..or you can go here http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic1.aspx and search the 3 digit manufacture ID (MIC), this is always the first 3 letters of HIN number.
Cheers,
Dave
