Staggered Scarab 377
Just purchased a 1981 staggered engine 377 for what I felt was one hell of a steal. Has a pair of 502 Mag MPI's. Question I have is did the drives on these older boats both turn in the same direction? Surely these boats handle better with counter rotating drives?

Everyone I've ever seen turn inboard.

someone can correct me but I would believe that ALL boat with twin TRS drives would be counter rotating. the only reason that you would have two RH drives is because someone blew up the LH one and was too lazy to get the correct drive.
CDShack- Also I would think that most if not all boat manufacturers would set up their boats so that the drives would be turning out ( the starboard prop turning CW and the port prop turning CCW) this direction provides better maneuverability.

All of the staggered boats we have worked on have inboard rotation out board doesn't work. RH on the Left side LH on the right side. But first you need a left hand drive.
