After seeing that incredible blend on the arch, I scrolled down to see trailer pictures and I thought to myself, "I don't want to see trailer pictures after that"..... BUT then I looked closer, HOLY CRAP you do incredible work!
Keep it coming! Even the trailer pics!

I thought the same thing! I was thinking, "holy crap, this cat is putting filler around the welds on his trailer! Who does that?"

Great job hitting the details, man.

I put filler around every one of my welds....but likely for a completely different reason!

Yeah I'm just trying to slick up and smooth out the places where salt water will try to get in there and cause corrosion. I'm not trying to hide anything.

I flipped over to the site and saw a 'green dot' next to Scarab section.... I just KNEW we see paint happening! I saw a small boat the other day done in almost the same teal/purple colors and it was AWESOME! I can't wait to see your masterpiece Heath!

Working more on the trailer and the engine compartment. I thought I’d get the engine compartment painted before the deck, but now it’s looking like the opposite. A few days ago we went ahead and buzzed the deck with 400 grit 3M hookit paper on a 6” DA pad. It sanded well and aside from a few blemishes and several pinholes, (we’ll prime these places tomorrow) it’s pretty close to paint.

Billy took a long block with 80 grit to the slick sand spray-on polyester putty on the port side today. We’ll have to do the same thing to the starbd side then prime both sides.

I hope to get the deck ready and painted by the end of the week.

I hear about guys blocking with DAs...I just don’t believe it can be kept straight using a DA.

I’m no expert but I just don’t believe there’s any substitute for a long block if you want it flat straight.

Especially with that much real estate to block.
