Thanks a lot guys. I do appreciate the enthusiasm and support. Some of y’all have been following this deal the whole five years and even before this boat. In my corner of the world here in northeast Alabama there aren’t many people interested in old scarabs so I always look forward to the interaction with y’all about progress on this project. And we’re finally to the less dirty, fun stuff!

Last night I convinced myself we would probably have to redo the starbd side. I did not like the way I pulled the stripes. It looks better this morning than I dreamed about last night LOL. Maybe outside it won’t be nearly as noticeable. We’ll see. I’ll see about pulling it out in the sun tomorrow. There are plenty of sags, trash and curtains to be sanded out. And it wasn’t Winston’s fault. You can’t see fiddle squat in this building at night even with the LED lights..

Thanks Dan. I know you realize how much work this is. When we get done we need to all have a boat get together down there in Florida somewhere nice.

It looks great, don't let the side bother you, when I did mine the left side emblem was not exactly like the right but 95 out of 100 people will never know. ( you can't see both sides at the same time). A friend of mine has a saying when you let things bother you that the majority of people would never know, Craftsmanship Paranoia. The boat looks fantastic, and I am sure when you have it sanded and buffed with everything on it, it will be better than the originals .

Looks amazing! Huge milestone to finally have her in paint, I bet that’s a lot of weight off your shoulders! Light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter🔥🔥🔥

i realize how much work it is, and how intimidating a project this massive can be, you stayed the course, the work thru out was very well executed, the paint is gorgeous, it's an absolute show stopper.

really loking forward to rigging.

how the hell are you gonna put the rubrail on ? You'll need 5 or 6 guys to hold it close while working your way down the side

A get together would be big fun, look forward to something like that plus seeing the boat in person.
