The spark arrestors came in today. The parts from ateco should be in next week, also I’ve got the trim pump hoses being made right now as well.

I’ve been kicking around props for a long time. What pitch, diameter, rake, etc. I’ve talked to many people including the guy up in New York that built the “all fired up” scarab. From what I’ve gathered having 18” diameter props is essential with these hulls, and there are none out there that I can find close to the pitch I am looking for. So I had to bite the bullet and have a set made from herring. We decided on 18” diameter and 29 pitch, this should safely get me in the low eighties topped out. My engines haven’t been dynoed, so hp is a guess and we’re thinking 650 to 725, with this in mind 29 pitch seems like a good conservative choice. If the boat has plenty of power we might try some 30’s later.

Anyway the spark arrestors just happened to match the orchid accent color on the boat.

I pulled the old girl 1 mile down the road to the gas station and put 140 gallons of 93 octane in the new aluminum tank. It hurt. I need to start one of those YouTube channels and shamelessly ask for patrons and donations lol. In other news the trailer pulled good!
