Nobody can accuse me of rushing thru this project Jeff. 😀 Don’t give up on me guys, finally getting something noticeable done to the boat. It took 6 hours in the hot Alabama humidity to get the 4 port side transmission bots installed…

The Sistine Chapel took 8 years to build. 30 odd years later, Michaelangelo took 4 years to paint the ceiling then returned about 20 years later, and spent 6 years finishing up another section. And nobody had to replace all the old rotten stringers and transom!
Take as long as you need. 🙂

Been doing a lot of wiring lately. Got the bilge pump, stern light, bilge fans, engine oil temp ending units, and all kinds of other stuff. All the wiring connections are soldered and heat shrinked.
Bg thanks to Kelly (payupsucker) for letting me use his props. Mine are being built but are going to be a while longer.
Shon helped me today, and we got a lot done. I got the indicators on the k-planes, had to drill the transom for that, I didn’t get a photo of that.
We got the starboard engine in place although all the bolts aren’t all in place yet. 😀

Wish I would have noticed this before, but you should be using the black zip ty's. And if you could get them TyWrap brand are pretty tough. The black ties are heat and oil/gas resistant. The white one break down faster in the heat.
BTW, I think this is one of the best redo's of all time. You have done some amazing work and attention to detail is spot on.

Again and again, i support you from way over the Atlantic from GERMANY !
May God bless you all and keep an eye on you regarding health !!!!!!!
Nobody which is so perfect during the normal work and has the time and the patience to fullfill such a tremendous job can be an unfaithfull person.
I am not that religious but i think you are.
Somehow in some way you are religious, thats the reason why i am bringing this up......
AND you are Go..damn right ....i am jealous ;-) but , as i allready sayed , in a very positiv way.
So please take all the time you need to bring it to an end.
By the way , the Rhine river has due to the drought a new record minimum level of only 34cm which is 13,56 inch ............so no more boating possible

Thanks helmwurst, I actually got some stainless clamps to swap the zip ties out with. Seems like we talked about the zip ties breaking down in the sun a while back in this thread. I’m planning on getting just about all the wires, hoses, etc in place then I’ll drill stringers etc when I’m absolutely sure how it all goes.
Thanks Robert I appreciate all the positive vibes brother. You’ve been following this thread for a long time. Hopefully the Rhine will get back to its normal level and you guys can enjoy boating again soon! By the way, Do you still have your nova?
I also bought some fancy schmancy optima batteries and here’s photos of the k plane indicators. I didn’t want to drill the transom but I really had no choice. These backing plates had no provision for the thru hull for the cables. Oh well I think it’ll work fine.
